International justice mission (IJM)

An end to injustice. An end to modern slavery. Honest trade. Is this possible? Very often our good intentions don't seem like more than a drop in the ocean. Michiel Keijts will share in this workshop storys of hope, in the light of the work that IJM does. As a husband, father and speaker of IJM, he is busy with telling these hopeful stories. And is the work IJM does more than a drop in the ocean? You will have to come to this workshop to find out!

Resilience: when hope and patience embrace each other.

Resilience is the ability to adapt when we face difficult circumstances. But resilience alone is not enough, we also need patience and hope. These three together enable us to resist and reorganize our lives in times of trial like now in times of Covid. This is not merely a natural experience but a supernatural process deeply ingrained in faith. Jesus is our model and our source of strength, patience and hope. In this seminar you will hopefully discover more about what will help you to grow in in resilience, patience and hope by listening to the teaching, by talking about it in break out groups with fellow students and by asking your questions in the Q&A time. Looking forward to take this journey together!

Hope for the nations

The workshop hope for the nations will be about divesity. God promised Abraham that He will be a blessing for all the nations. What does this mean today and why does that bring us hope? In this workshop we will think about the richness of diversity and how we see this in our own (student)life. This workshop will give background information, a personal story and will be very practical.

The workshop will be given by Jan Joost Snoek, international studentworker in Leiden en Dr. Betty Sari, international studentworker in The Hague. They will share their experience and knowledge in this workshop. There will also be time to ask them all your questions about this topic.
